Eggplants in sweet-and- sour sauce

Ingredients

  • Eggplant - 3 pcs.
  • Smoked paprika - 1/2 tsp
  • Pomegranate syrup - 6 tbsp.
  • Tomato paste - 3 tbsp.
  • Honey - 3 tbsp.
  • Olive oil - 3 tbsp.
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Vegetable oil - for frying
  • ASW seasoning "Italian herbs" - 1 tbsp.
  • Salt - to taste.

Method of preparation

Cut the washed and dried eggplant into slices.

Fry the eggplants on high heat until they are golden brown. Put on paper towel to remove excess oil.

Add olive oil, honey, pomegranate syrup and tomato paste to the pan. Heat the sauce over low heat, stirring until thickened.

Next, add the fried eggplant to the sauce, sprinkle with smoked paprika, garlic, salt to taste and “Italian herbs”. Gently mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Serve chilled.
