Spicy Picked Mackerel
- Large mackerel (frozen) - 2 pcs.
- Water - 2 glasses
- Salt - 2 tbsp. l
- Sugar - 1 tbsp. l
- ASW seasoning “For salting herring” - ¾ tablespoons
Method of preparation
Defrost fish, trim the head, tails and fins. Remove the guts and entrails and wash the fish thoroughly.
Place the mackerel in a bowl for salting.
Pour water, salt, sugar and seasoning “For salting herring” into the pan and boiling for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cool to room temperature.
Pour the brine over fish and place in refrigerator for 2 days.
And it’s done!
